About this tool
Before posting a screenshot or photo, hide anything personal: faces of children or bystanders, vehicle number plates, Aadhaar, PAN or bank account numbers, phone numbers, addresses, QR codes and boarding-pass barcodes. Drag a box over each area; you can add as many boxes as you need and undo mistakes.
For text and numbers, a solid box is the safest choice — weak blur or small pixelation can sometimes be partly reversed. Use a high strength if you choose pixelate or blur. This tool runs on your device, so the sensitive original is never sent to any server.
Frequently asked questions
What is the safest way to hide an Aadhaar or account number?
Use “Solid box”. It replaces the pixels completely, so nothing can be recovered. Pixelation and blur at low strength can sometimes be partly reversed.
Can I hide several areas?
Yes. Draw as many boxes as you like; “Undo last box” removes the most recent one.
Is the original photo uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser — important when the photo contains private details.
Does the downloaded image keep the hidden details underneath?
No. The saved image is flattened: the covered pixels are replaced, not stored in a separate layer.
